Lyndah Tello, the founder, went looking for a networking group so she could grow her financial business. Every group she went to had strict guidelines of only one person per business category or there was a huge cost to join.
Lyndah, being Lyndah, knew that other women needed a networking group to start their businesses but didn’t have the funds to join a group or had a business like theirs that was in a group that they wanted to join. She choose to start her own; and thus, 1099 Ladies was born.
She wanted any lady who had a business to come, network and connect with other business ladies. No matter if there were three realtors or just one. She also knew how hard it was to come up with extra money when just starting out, so decided she wasn’t going to have a fee to join. Lyndah also wanted to offer the same agenda as the other groups.
Her format follows other business networking groups, 30 second elevator speech, then a discussion topic, member presentation or speaker. Next is a time for questions and answers, ending with the passing of leads, setting up future one on ones or meaningful conversation between attendees.
